FACE MINUTIAE
Much like our own micro-expressions that result from innate voluntary and involuntary emotional responses, FACE MINUTIAE imitates such facial expressions through spastic, intuitive lines and negative space.
FACE MINUTIAE
Inspired by how the human face communicates large amounts of information through micro-expressions -- like the slightest upturn of a lip or the raise of a brow -- the process of creating a FACE MINUTIAE drawing is much the same.
FACE MINUTIAE
With each drawing, a lengthening of a line, the pressing of the tool, the quickness of the stroke, and the slightest angle of a mark can alter, and even dramatically change, the emotion of a Face. Such slight but significant alterations ultimately suggest a different experience for the interpretation of the viewer.
