When learning how to photo-manipulate images, "Stockholm Syndrome" was one of the first pieces of art work that I created back in 2010.  From this, I decided to further this pieces development by manipulating it in an alternative medium that was new, yet similar to the dark room experience I've had prior with photography.
I was opened up to the world of screen printing in a  semester long class held at Perpich Center for the Arts back in 2012.
I decided to title this piece "Stockholm syndrome" because I found the psychological phenomenon intriguing, as well as, I  felt the piece eluded to a sense of danger, and that of a threatening nature. Similarly there's often a sense of mystery I think people get in not seeing clarity or detail in a captors face that's occurant in  most "bank robberies", or "hostage" like scenarios. So I wanted to incorporate, and covey these feelings in this piece.
