I wanted to come up with a concept on how to reduce petty theft of credit cards. A few issues I found were that the majority of theft was from stolen card numbers, our current signiture system is not accurate, and having a known object makes it easily targetable.
For my concept I proposed creating micro credit chips that are NFC enabled and installing them on personal items of your choosing. By doing this you eliminate numbers and you eliminate the wallet as a targeted location. By using a quick handprint scan instead of a signature it creates a much more accurate form of credit identity verification. And finally by installing a decoy chip in a second item it gives the user something to give in the event they are mugged. The combination of these three things I believe would result in a safer and more personal credit system.

The video is a short promotional video to help understand the system's benefits and the posters are mock-up ads for three of the current largest banks in the US.
