The Guestbook

This guestbook is for settlers coming into the gallery to acknowledge their settler identity and the ways in which they benefit from settler institutions like Brown and RISD. It is to acknowledge that this exhibition is made possible by the violence which these institutions have wrought through the theft and ongoing genocide/disenfranchisement of Narragansett and Wampanoag lands and peoples, and through the slave labor that physically constructed the historic buildings/foundations of College Hill.
