JumPop is a product of Herbert Richter, a company famous for their mobile stands and car accessories. The task was to show how versatile JumPop is, and how it can be used to hold / grip the phone as well as how to use it as a stand or attach it to other existing accessories.
I teamed up with Krisztian on this one. We decided to separate the usage modes / features of the product to different scenes:
1.The knob itself is easy to put into pockets, and wouldn't interfere with your clothes. An abstract display for this was to use a velvet cloth.
2. JumPop can be held in different ways - this was shown with two separate poses of porcelain hands
3. A great feature of JumPop is that it's magnetic, so it can be used with a stand - on a desk and in a car.
4. The spring at the back lets you use it as a stand on its own - so you can watch your favourite movie in a bar. Well, should you want to do that anyway...
5. You can quickly check your make-up and make selfies easily since the back can be used as a mirror.

While the target audience would be skewed towards women, we didn't want to create an entirely 'girly' atmosphere, and tried to keep the spot as a unisex and elegant entity.
Production-wise, Krisztian created the basic assets for each scene and I textured / animated the elements. The shots were rendered out individually and then comped together. Each shot would have a camera transition that blended all together. There were quite a few tricks I had to apply to save on rendertimes but overall I'm happy with how it turned out eventually. For this project we used Octane with all its pros and cons.
