Ficção Científica - Science Fiction
Concept
This project was carried out for a subjeckt of Communication Design at the University of Beira Interior, where the goal was to create a poster that promoted cinema.
In the research stage, I checked which types of posters were most common in the market, what they intended to highlight in each film in order to enhance the quality of the film, leading me to the conclusion that for the creation of my poster I would have to take in points that all the films / posters had in common, being:
-Civilization (terrestrial or extraterrestrial)
-Technology (ships, weapons, portals)
-Conspiracy theories
-Illusion games
-Space Wars
-Environment aspects (use of spatial symbologies): Stars, moon and sun (eclipses)  Space, galaxies, solar system (space orbits or galactic powder)

After my research, my idea was to create a poster that represented space, the use of orbits, the moon and the sun using the idea of an eclipse in the poster complementing the fact that around it represented a civilization by silhouettes of buildings, inserted in the poster also a vectorized symbol that represents each film.

The composition is more located in the center of the poster, that is, centered with a slight slope to the right, and around it has some design details, these being abstract in order to cause the observer to center his focus (focusing the center of the poster).
The poster follows these 4 principles: contrast, alignment, proximity and repetition.

-The contrast can be found in the use of colors that oppose, in the "Classical" version, black and white and, in the most "Modern or different" version, orange and blue.
-The alignment of the main text is centered so as to have a clear perception of the subject of the poster, and the adjacent text is aligned with the circular shape surrounding the center on both posters.
-The proximity is visible because the information that interests the reader is close to the main highlight.
-The repetition is in the representation of circular shapes throughout the design, either in circles or in orbits around the center, being the only cut element in the lines that cross the smaller circles. In this poster I try to apply simplicity, clarity and coherence and, in this way, I deliver two posters with two different contrasts in order to create two alternative possibilities of a scientific world, two parallels that complement each other. A classic of cooler tones and a bolder one with a contrast of warmer colors.
Sorry the long text! I hope you liked,
and
Thank you!
