Another quick morning outing, this time near Gunbarrel Ranch between Boulder and Longmont. This area has great elevated views of the mountains and features the snow-capped peaks of the Rockies. The past several mornings have been overcast and while today was a slight exception, there were still billowing clouds covering most of the peaks (Images 4, 5, 9 & 10).

While this wasn’t one of my favorite sets as of late, the photo of the moon has to be one of my favorites. Out of all my photography experience, I’ve never managed to get a photo of the moon I thought was decent. The morning skies have proven to treat me well as far as the night sky goes and I might have to make a point to point my lens up more often.

Clouds have also been a big part of my recent outings. With Winter in full force, the snow capped peaks have been harder to come by, since clouds have proven to make themselves known in the early morning hours before clearing out my mid-day.
