On 11 February 2013 the Vatican announced the decision of Benedict XVI to step down as a leader of the Catholic Church. The Pope stated that the reason for his decision was his declining health due to old age. During his last days of pontificate, hundred thousands of people from all over the world came to Rome, to attend his last Angelus and the General Assembly and to give him their last goodbye. These pictures have been taken during those days
