WHEN: Summer 2010
FOR WHOM: Department of Information Technology, University of Wisconsin – Madison

STORY: While at DoIT, I had the chance to design a print campaign that urged students to attend an orientation session that would give them the tools and information they need to have a successful computing experience at UW Madison. Because of this theme, I designed the pieces to be reminiscent of wartime propaganda, calling the students to take charge of the university's offerings and arm themselves with knowledge. We produced a poster, postcard and web graphics for this event. I got to experiment with colored paper for this project, something that I am always excited to do.
During the time this campaign was being prepared, UW DoIT was aiming to increase awareness of their social media presence, so I put together a flash banner ad in a similar style. The goal was to incorporate some humor into the ad in order to distinguish it from social media announcements from other outlets.
