We were looking at the opening credits to one of our favorite movies, The Italian Job, and we noticed that the opening titles weren't just quite up to par with the rest of the movie. That's when our motion graphic team kicked in and tested out this concept of using a 3D object rendered to look 2D. That way we could achieve 3d translation in a 2D motion graphic. After discovering the cel renderer in cinema, we quickly fell on our way with production.
After a few long weeks of animating, we had ourselves a fine lookin title sequence.
