Texas Wild
“The last word in ignorance is the man who says of an animal or plates; ‘What good is it?’ If the land mechanism as a whole is good, then every part is good, whether we understand it or not.” –Aldo Leopold

This area illustrates the Texas Wild ecology and scenes featuring animals common in Texas. Visitors will walk through Texas to see these seven major environments: East Texas pineywoods, West Texas desert scrub and mountain forests. Panhandle plains, Gulf Coast sand dunes and marshes. Edwards Plateau juniper-clad hills, North Central tall grass prairies, and South Texas thornbrush.
