As a design student I created this fictional brand and package design as part of an assignment to find a piece of terrible packaging and make it better. I chose this folding shovel.

Overall, the package wasn’t too exciting. The product imagery is actually really great but the green gradient is rather foul. I liked the idea of marketing the product to a more sophisticated camping crowd than would-be buyers of the Coghlan brand, so I pulled the product out of the package so it could sell itself.

I made this mockup out of print-outs and a leftover pizza box.
