High School Art Portfolio

Artist statement

Since I could remember I have always loved art. From painting in my room to drawing in the classroom. No matter what always finding time to sketch here and there. Never going a long period of time without. I recently have found a passion for photography. I like bringing this to my art work. Often times drawing or painting pictures I myself have taken. Feeling more accomplished as I draw my own picture.

I enjoy to do artwork not only in my free time but making it a priority to incorporate it into my high school schedule. I am now a Junior in high school and in art three. My art did not just start there. I also took it in elementary and middle school. For as long as I can remember art class always being the highlight of my day at school. Art class has always given me time to separate myself from not only the chaos of school but life as well. Art is not only a passion of mine but a way to get the thoughts out of my head and be at peace.

In the future I can always see art being a part of my life. Maybe not as a career but definitely a passion that I will never let die.
