This project was a group project I worked on it with two others. At random, we were given Art Nouveau. With my group none of us design this way or have any experience doing so. From the beginning we were presented a very difficult challenge for us. Some of the guidelines were: Include six examples of Art Nouveau, explain the movement, who the main artists were during that time period, and how it affected culture.

 

We chose to make our own piece that would be reflected of Art Nouveau. Now when you look at Art Nouveau pieces, they all deal with feminine characters, floral, animals, and plants. So we included all of that into our piece. In the corners we strategically placed four faces from previous Art Nouveau pieces.  Also, we have included doves, and a lamp faded away in the background. We did have some issue finding the last example and where to place it without hurting our piece. Another issue we faced was text, Art Nouveau is not text friendly but we did pull it off. Hope you guys enjoy what you see because it was a fun experience creating this.
