This project was for a competition a coupe of months ago. The brief was to interprate a peice of music of your own choice. I decided to illustrate the songs of a few rap artists i was really into at the time, that being SPEAK! and Metro Zu.
The first image is for a song called 'Live from the 5 way' by SPEAK!

The general idea was to make a comic book strip that had no dividers, all the images were to run into each other smoothly, like the way SPEAK! raps.
Metro Zu are from Miami, and describe themselves as 'artsy' rappers. The are very vibrant and out there. This picture was not in repsonse to one song in particular, just thier way of life. They are all best mates, and constanly rap about white girls.
