DREAMERS' TORTOISES [tebo 2013]
lazy tardy 'tortoises'
waddle and ease their way
into silver deeper waters;
and stroke some sand beneath.
are we the only dreamers
who've seen one elusive turtle of the sea
and warring hunted tortoises from the land?
do they tempt to bite or hurt?
have they seen us harm the living?
