Sweet Like Chocolate XXX | Typographical Poster

This project that began in late November was based around the idea of designing a typographical poster that would help communicate a short and simple phrase “Sweet like chocolate xxx”, potentially aimed at the viewers or a particular person (based on the deictic structure of the phrase itself), by the inclusion of illustration-orientated content that effectively provides an aesthetically pleasing environment for said message being put forward.

As you will see, the final outcome consists of all text-based content being placed in the centre of a standard-shaped love heart (traditionally signifying the presence of love and admiration on the behalf of the attached message) alongside a chocolate-coloured background that has “unintentionally” leaked onto the heart itself, as well as the inclusion of three separate droplets that create a simple and very gentle-looking style of mess.

Certain effects that have also been included are that of drop shadows, inner glows, and grain textures in order to not only help provide a light 3D style of effect that creates an even further level of depth, but also help with avoiding a final outcome that would appear too polished or too clean for my own personal liking.

For the display mockup, the final outcome has been placed within a hanging-by-wired clips setting, with a background colour (dark red) that has been sampled from the actual poster itself.
