For materialization, I want to use different materials and methods to express my understanding of my chosen theme. I choose materialisation 9 to develop the project 2. Materialisation 9 It is a woman's side face, and some birds, showing freedom.
For Project 2, my theme is freedom, these are some design precedents I chose.

In Figure 1, this is a painting that expresses freedom，demonstrates the release from the old, acceptance of the past and forgiveness to self and others, the freedom of negativity, the power to rise and develop and go forward! It shows desire to be successful and to succeed, to welcome the challenges conquer them with speed. My first model was inspired by this painting, which uses many strong and bright colors, I think this can give the audience a visual impact. There are also some annotate in this work that can influence me to think about what I want to express in my work.

The Money Slave

Alexis Silk is one of the leading hot glass sculptors, infuses each sculpture with meaning. She has mastered sculpting the human form in the glass, she continues to define the frontier of conceptual expression in figurative hot sculpted Murano glass. This sculpture inspired me to do the second model. My idea is to use a human body model to make a different form of money slave to express my theme.

Freedom cannot be jailed

The sculpture by Dmitri Iv describes a female body made out of welding more than 4,000 steel chains, floating or writhing in mid-air, defying gravity. She’s almost free, but at the same time immobile, attached to the ground by two chains tied to her hands. The art object tells the story of the need for freedom. By observing this sculpture, I feel that I can use an abstract method to make a human body， also consider using similar materials such as iron chains to made my third model.

Draft Production Statement:
My theme is freedom, but I am interested in learning visual communication, so I want to do a lot of color works, which will give the audience a better visual effect. I made four different models to represent my idea. The meaning of the word freedom is too broad, so I want to make four models to express different forms about freedom, but I may be more focused on money that binds people and loses freedom.
I chose abstraction and deconstruction as my technical words, structure, and color as my elements words to develop my ideas. I combine these words to create and develop my four ideas.
Finally, for my final work, I might be going to make a big poster or zine to express different forms of freedom.
