This short piece was created to try out a new Canon lens, 28 - 135mm 1:3.5-5.6. You could call it a study of chickens, however, what I wanted to capture with this lens was time lapse clouds, depth of field, lens flares, and ultra closeups on a moving object (in this case some chickens) while maintaining focus and a little bit of macro footage for good measure.
Plus the opportunity to lay on a beefed up soundtrack and a (rushed I have to say) animated title.
All footage was shot on a 600D on a fluid head tripod and a steadcam... I dont think I could have managed the chicken close ups hand held...
I think I would like to try shooting some more high contrast footage then composite a classy animated title sequence into the shot... Any ideas?
