"Everything happens in a apartment block.
A fifteen floors building.
It is not just a cement tower, nor a simple, partially ordered set of flats and lives.
It is a real world, a separate planet whose storeys , yes, they house houses and messy or tidy lives but also deserts, whole cities, firmaments, dreams and spectres.
Within all these floors, needless to say, the protagonist of our story lives and works at the lowest one.
A cellar.
He is dubbed “The Butcher” because of his job.
People living at the lower floors, desperate and hungry people, turn to him. They don’t buy but trade.
They sell their lungs, their kidneys, their liver, their hands. They sell flesh, their own.
Who gets it?
It is bought by those who live at the higher storeys and want a stock lung or younger kidneys, a healthy liver.
The protagonist itself, The Butcher, sold his face baring its muscles.
Rumours say that he didn’t sell it to get money but to forget his aspect and his name and story too.
On a day of ordinary work, The Butcher has to deliver a heart up to the top, to the highest floor."
