Complementary Typefaces Book EB Garamond & Futura
From the beginning of type to now, there have been many problems with pairing typefaces with other typefaces and many cant seem to match the correct complementary because they look to similar or it does not fit the idea behind the design. Here are two typefaces that I am demonstrating to you that are perfectly complementary and they do not have to necessarily match but just work well enough together. Usually a serif font would be seen as the older font but in this case it is the newer one. This is a strange case but it shows the variety in typefaces that exist in today's graphic design world.
With this information and these graphics can come many new designs for both you and I. Seeing things in different type faces like this can stimulate the mind to reach further into your creativity. These are fonts that are not used as much but are seen everywhere such as on logos for Gucci, Dolce & Gabbana, Google, etc. Futura shows that the future of type had been thought of since way back in the beginning of type and EB Garamond shows that the past of type styles can still be modified to fit in today's type world.
