Blackbird is a response to a perceived lack of imagination in packaging for shower products. I developed a distinctive bottle and brand around the idea of using a squeeze cap to speed up the morning shower routine. I narrowed in on the individualistic aspect of professionals with busy lives, using supporting imagery of alternative sports, fast vehicles, and iconic architecture.
The packaging was designed in Solidworks 2012, rendered in PhotoView, and composited in Photoshop. A prototype of the squeeze cap was 3D printed in ABS plastic on a Stratasys machine.
