Personal Project 2017 :

Job discovery website for

foreign software developers in Japan / ver 1.0

I created a job searching website for foreign residents of Japan who aren’t comfortable with Japanese as my personal project (2017).

It uses various data from around the internet as well as input from its users to offer ratings and other information about tech companies operating in Japan.

It’s designed to make it easier for job seekers to find resources about companies in English.

I designed the site from UI/UX to the logo, illustrations and coding of the mockups.

2017年、個人プロジェクトとして「日本語が苦手な外国人ソフトウェアエンジニアのための日本の会社探しサイト」をパートナーと開発しました。

企業に関する就職や転職関連のクチコミ情報を提供するウェブサイト(Vorkers, キャリコネ, 転職会議, カイシャの評判)の情報をクローリングし、各企業の評判を相対的に判断できるようにすることで、より適切な企業選びができるよう支援するサイトをつくりました。

UX/UIの設計からイラスト＆ロゴ含むビジュアルを担当。

Job discovery website for

foreign software developers in Japan / ver 2.0

After I made JP COMPANIES with my engineer's partner, we found the real user needs and market opportunity, so we made the MVP product based on our old product.

We changed the functions of website to improve user experiences.

It aims to connect foreigners with the top tech companies in Japan, offering a curated list of companies with a proven track record of providing positive work conditions for non-Japanese speaking engineers.

The site also allows anyone to post reviews of the companies anonymously, so users can get a real feeling for what it’s really like to work at each company, many of which are lesser-known, and not listed on sites like Glassdoor.

I designed the current product very fast as a MVP product, and now I designed the new site from UI/UX to the logo, illustrations and business cards.

I was in charge of all design-related tasks for this project.

I worked with some friends of mine who are engineers in order to release and continuously update the site.

2017年にアメリカ人のソフトウェアエンジニアであるパートナーと日本での仕事探しのためのウェブサイトを開発する過程で、外国人エンジニアたちの生の意見を共有し合う機能がメインで必要だということに気づきました。

その上で、市場のニーズを探るため、JP COMPANIESをベースに早急にデザイン改修、実装し、MVPプロダクトをリリースしました。

外国人が働きやすく、エンジニアとして裁量を持ってチャレンジできる会社のみを掲載するというポリシーです。

各企業の評判をユーザーが自由にポストすることができるため、会社の評判を相対的に判断でき、より適切な会社選びができるコミュニティーを目指しています。

現在はMVPプロダクトで、ユーザーインタビューやアンケートを通じユーザーのフィードバック取得、市場のニーズがあることを実感しており、今後開発すべき機能を検討中。

同時に、サービス展開の方向性を改めて考えた上で、「Devjobs.jp」という新たなサービス名でリブランディングし、新デザインで作り変えています。

新デザインでも、UI/UXからイラストやロゴや名刺の作成など、ビジュアルに関わる全てを担当しました。

パートナーが実装を担当し、ライターや友人の協力を得てサービスとして着々と成長しています。
