The project was inspired by a scene from the film “Leviathan” by A. Zvyagintsev - a lonely shore and, framed by a blue, snow-white skeleton of an ancient animal. This is a reminder of the constant flow of time, on which we do not depend. It is also a direct response to the subordination of a living organism to the forces of nature, ecology. Changing the usual climate conditions will lead to disastrous consequences for humans. The skeleton symbolizes the defenselessness of man to nature. We can “subdue” the element, be sure that much is subject to us, but ... we may well be in the place of the snow-white skeleton. Having parted, the bowels of the earth expose the sharp ends of the ribs extending from the spine, slightly covered with earth.
So the form of our project, the vertebrae are represented by the flooring, and the ribs are represented by vertical elements. Placement of the object was supposed to be in a secluded place near the water, passing on the flooring, you can sit in its expansion overlooking the calm surface of the lake and reflect.
The project is a flooring up to 17 m in length from wood with a section of 150x50 mm. Expansion occurs in the center of the flooring and a light pergola is formed with a minimum height of horizontals of 2650 mm. A comfortable bench with a width of up to 500 mm is designed for the length of the entire flooring. Being under a canopy, you can quietly enjoy the silence in a secluded company, looking at the serene surface of the water. Or, on the contrary, place a small group of 15 to 20 people for lectures in the open air, for example, on the importance of ecological thinking today.
