For this project, I chose an object, created a logo for the object and applied it first to business stationery,
then to various other applications such as clothing, mobile, and pop-up venue. I chose the Lava Lamp
as my object because the psychedelic aspect of the object appealed to me. I used the geometric form
of the lava lamp and made into a pattern for the logo. Moreover, the color schemes came from the vivid
colors of the actual lava lamps. Essentially, color and form were the key elements in this project.

Final Application

For the final part of this project, I decided to apply my brand identity to a promotional pop-up venue. This so-called “Lava Java” is planned to go around different cities, particularly in areas where it is heavily populated (i.e. New York City, Shanghai, Tokyo, Seoul, London, etc). This venue will stay in each of these cities for approximately 3 to 4 days, making active promotions of the brand, Lava Lamp. The venue includes various promotional materials such as mini stores, game/mobile center, mini refreshments, and most importantly a dynamic wall of graphically rendered lava lamps, which will interact with people by diverse means.
