Location
Ahlat Youth Camp design area; Van Lake in the south direction, Stadium in the west direction, and housing texture in the north and east directions. It is expected that the area of the competition will be occupied by the remaining part of the area north of Ağrı-Bitlis road, open-space regulations for educational and cultural facilities, recreational and sports purposes. This area is divided into 3 parts by the channels produced within the river improvement work.

Ahlat has become an important settlement in every period of history due to its characteristics. It is not known how and when the city was first founded, but it is a big step in terms of Turkish history. The Seljuk mausoleums and tombs, which are still standing in the process of extending to the sun, are the most important of the historical references of the region.

The design area is located in a texture where the low-rise residential texture is intense, the avalanche stone is transformed into structural elements in different forms, and the crumbling roof is dominant in the direction of climatic data. The structures that are positioned towards Van Lake, which is the direction of the dominant landscape, come together so as not to interfere with each others landscapes.

Context
It constitutes the basis of the reinterpreted contextual approach of the structure culture that constitutes the geographical identity of the design space but has been interrupted over time. This approach:

Positioning: An architectural approach that adopts a more compact and generalized view of the area as a public park is adopted instead of an architectural attitude spreading throughout the area, with reference to existing texture configurations, which they feel. In addition, this singular construction was planned to be located in the north-south direction, with a minimum impact on the visual connection of the urban land with the Van Lake in the surrounding area.

Formation: When the tradition of construction culture that the Seljuks carried from Central Asia to Ahlat is examined, it is seen that the tent which is the basic building stone of the nomadic societies forms the basis of the restoration habits. It can be said that the tent typology of the exhibits revealed the metamorphosis and the combination of the materials belonging to the place. At this point, it was considered important to reinterpret the tent image of Ahlat Youth Camp building, which was first brought to mind by the camping word, with historical references. The idea of making a single tent, where users come together under different functions, constitutes an ideological infrastructure that guides architectural form.

Program
By considering the differences in the level of the design area, a lower ground floor has been organized which integrates with the social components of the program. A social under-the-table organization was created by feeding on the conference center, restaurant and spa, outdoor sports and activity areas. The connection to the sporting area along the shore of Van Lake is also provided by a passage located at this level and extending from the main road to the opposite area. On the ground floor and upstairs, while more specialized accommodation units are planned, the gallery spaces and bridges created are associated with functions.

The main approach of the building was accepted by the stadium on the west side and a bridge extending from the area to the camp site and the city park was proposed and the entrance point of the building was added to the intersection with the bridge and it was sent to the Seljuk Taç Kapitan. The structure is intended to be a living scaffold used by different sports functions, connecting the spine to a design area separated by 3 channels.

In summary, the scaffold structure, which is planned to relate to the area with the generic and different elevations, suggests a social and dynamic structure suggestion by which different types of users can come together instead of a typology used only for accommodation.
