The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy

This particular brief was a university assignment in which I had to redesign the book cover for Douglas Adam's The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.
I chose to base my design on the bowl of petunias found in the novel and instead of having the bowl be plain and simple, I made it look like Earth, to add further links to the story itself.
For the typography I chose a modern, futuristic looking font and arranged it to look like it was falling through Space along with the bowl of petunias.
