The Student Success Center at the CSUS College of Education requested a logo that encompassed the various services they offer. Many student misunderstood that they are only helpful when it comes to graduation, and were therefore unaware of the other services.

I wanted to capture the idea of people helping the students help others in the future, as the College of Education creates future teachers, usually K-12. It needed to be welcoming and easy to reduce down to fit in the corner of a letterhead while also looking good scaled up. I also needed to stay within the branding guidelines for the college, which had a limited color palette and font choice.

My concept is a group of three people, with the middle person holding the child, while the biggest holds them both, insinuating that the counselors at the success center make everything possible. The colors are bright, but soft to give a welcoming feeling. I chose Myriad Pro from the accepted fonts because sans serifs are modern and more geared towards the future, just like the students are future teachers.
