A few illustration elements that appear on the jacket and throughout the new Haruki Murakami novel Killing Commendatore (UK edition, published by Harvill Secker, imprint at Vintage/Penguin UK). The images of an owl and the sword were first sketched out and then created as linocuts. Both approaches ended up in the book and the cover. The jacket is designed by Suzanne Dean.
