For my Basic Illustration class, we were given an assignment that required us to create an animal preforming a human activity and then illustrate it in scratch board. I had so many ideas that I had to narrow it down and throw some ideas out. One of my ideas was this chicken man who should "act cocky". But I didn't like the idea of "cocky" so I decided to go a more fancy route. 

 

I made a lot of sketches to filter out and plan for my illustration. I didn't want to do scratch board but instead I decided to try to make a photo manipulation. I decided to make a manipulation because I wanted to practice with lighting and trying something simple like combining two photographs. I did extensive research for trying to find the best stock photos.
