The Brief

I was asked design and craft a magazine with the topic of our choosing as part of my final year at university. I chose to base my magazine around Fashion, photography and design as all of these topics work coherently. (The articles were not written by me, and the photographs were not taken by me).

The Cover

I experimented with the materials for the cover by printing on acetate sheets and other untypical cover materials but in the end due to production limitations decided to proceed with a card cover. The design of the cover shows displays a cropped and shrunken image in the corner in order to stand out from other magazines that have a full image bleeding off the cover. The type used to create the logo overlaps with the image and this is a reoccurring feature of the magazine helping create a brand identity.
