Fashion Store in Moscow, Russia
MoodSwings is a new fashion store in Moscow, Russia. The store carries well-known fashion brands for women such as Limi Feu, Minä Perhonen, Bernhard Willhelm, Acne etc. The store was divided into four main sections; Simple, Classic, Funny and Avantgarde to symbolize different moods or settings in the life of a fashion-savvy woman. The work was carried out in colaboration with french media artist Cyril Duval at ITEMIDEM.
Inspiration was the theme of Alice in Wonderland. The transition from the more apartment like upstairs to the more bohemian and funny underground was solved with a card staircase around a huge tree and surrounded by a fake bookshelf. A overdose of imagery that connects to this story creates a store with a quirky twist. The spinning cake downstairs, checkered floor and custom lacquered mannequins are just a few examples. The cupboards on entrance floor are extruded through the walls and act as fitting rooms, an childlike experience found only in Narnia before...
Almost all furniture and interior elements was produced in Sweden and many pieces was also found in different stores around Stockholm. An absolutely non-minimalistic project!
