EVENT: DRINK & DRAW with IGI
We are starting a new series of events and IGI is having a Drink & Draw evening, come and join us to talk about all things Illustration, see talkers, draw. And there will be drinks. IGI member Alan Dunne will talk on working on the animated short “A Thousand Kisses” and Philip Eliot “The Book That Changed My Life”.
6th of October, 2018 at A4 Sounds Studio, St Joseph's Parade off Upper Dorser Street at 4 p.m. – 7 p.m.
Island of Adventures is a new non-fiction picture book written and illustrated by Jennifer Farley. From shipwreck diving to mountain biking,  fun and excitement wait around every corner – in the city and in the countryside. With 48 pages of adventures to enjoy, there’s a whole island to explore!  The book will be available in all good bookshops on the 8th of October.
Sheena Dempsey has a new book release:
'The Magic Moment' by Niall Breslin 'Bressie' , publishing October 2018 with Gill Books
"It has been a busy summer; not only have I been working on a series of images for the cryptocurrency specialist ‘Block Collider’, but I have also been working on a series of four ‘Science Apprentice’ books for UCD which will be out later this year", says IGI Member Martin Beckett.
DEBUT PICTURE BOOK  THE POOKA PARTY  by IGI member Shona Shirley Macdonald, will be published by The O'Brien Press and available on 1st October.
Drawn by Hand - A SOLO EXHIBITION BY MARGARET ANNE SUGGS 
Margaret Anne works by hand, with traditional tools, to create intricate, heart-felt illustrations that are sometimes sweet, sometimes spicy, but always delightful. The detail included in this collection of works invites the viewer to look closely andlinger. Featured in the show will be pieces from Suggs’ recent books, Cup of Tea (written by Eric La Branche), Me Nan Found a Leprechaun (written by David McNiven) and the best-selling, award-winning Pigín of Howth (written by Kathleen Watkins). Be drawn in to enjoy these original works yourself.
