This videomapping installation explores light projected into a shape that was hung on a wall.
The first part of the production process was to create a structure that could be visually interesting to project on. We folded a piece of cardboard and afterwards recreated that structure digitally in order to make the animation in After Effects.
The second part consisted of animating some patterns made from primitive shapes that were displayed randomly over the polygons.
This is one of the first animations. I experimented a lot with different rythms and times until having the final animation finished. The goal of the one that is below was to display the shapes quite fast.
The rhythm of the lights and the shapes coming in and out, projected onto the structure, generates a 3D space that is engaging with the viewer. This installation creates a connection between them two.

Thank you for watching!
