As Internet Marketing Coordinator at Waubonsee Community College I built the college's social media presence from launch to maturity as an integral part of the marketing and communications mix. The spring 2013 credit enrollment campaign included Facebook promoted posts and sponsored stories that received 2.87 million impressions, generating 12,197 clicks and 11,220 other social actions. This activity contributed to institutional advancement as well as a credit enrollment head count increase of 9 percent and a semester hour increase of 5 percent over the previous spring semester. Also gaining 1,547 Facebook Page “fans” during the 11-week campaign, Waubonsee laid claim to having the “most liked” social network of more than 50 peer colleges in Illinois.
