Macadam Mambo is a music label from Lyon, France. Since 2012, they've been releasing multiple musical genres from Italo-disco to Krautrock. I first met Sacha Mambo, great DJ and co-founder of the label with his friend Guillaume des Bois, for a poster project for one of his gigs. They then asked me to design the cover of two vinyls that are presented below.

This double LP is a collaboration between Sacha and Guillaume where they edited various undeground Italo-Disco hits. I was asked to design a funny, tropical and disco inspired cover for this project.

This double LP is a collaboration between Sacha and Guillaume where they edited various undeground Italo-Disco hits. I was asked to design a funny, tropical and disco inspired cover for this project.
The two DJs also wanted to appear on the cover, so I decided to draw them in the foreground, driving a car in a colorful and paradise setting. It was important for me to give a freedom vibe to the illustration, in order to convey that nothing can alter their trip.

Jin Cromanyon - Personal Zombies
Jin Cromanyon is a japanese producer that can hardly be labeled. Somewhere between Electro, Acid-House, Synth-Pop and J-pop, his music is simple yet brutal. These two concepts I kept in mind when I started to work on his album cover: No textures, no halftone effects, but soft gradients, two rude characters and a few drawn elements in a composition fitting the small format of the record.
Macadam Mambo gave me free rein, trusting me to interpret the title of the record -« Personal zombies »- my own way. Instead of drawing a zombie, I went for a Yokai, a japanese demon, to represent Jin’s origins as this album was mainly sold in Europe.
