With this project I wanted to explore mark making and how everyone has a different way of expressing themselves, be it artistic style, or even just in the way they sign their name.

I leave my mark by stitching, so to illustrate this I have stitched my signature; 2 ways in which my mark can be left.

 

Each cross seen took the same amount of time to stitch as it did to sign the original signature with a pen. Something as instantaneous as a signtaure has now been turned in to a work of art, with each pixel being carefully thought through, unlike the flow of a hand drawn example.
