As a part of our illustration course, we had to choose a poem/ rhyme/ song from our childhood in any vernacular language, illustrate it in three frames in such a way that the soul of the poem/rhyme/song is captured. (Size constraint- A4). I chose a song that my mother often used to sing to me when I was young. It’s called “Bul Bul Pakhi, Moina Tiye”. It’s a bengali song.

Since I was very attached to this song, I already had a very dreamy image of the song in my mind. So to get that dreamy nature of these illustrations I chose photocolours as my medium because of its transparent nature. I also used glitters in some parts to give it a little texture.
The three frames with the poem.
