Mommy Advice Cards
This piece was commission for a blue and green dinosaur themed baby shower! Theses 5x7 cards were to be given out to attendees to write their advice or warm wishes to the new mommy to be, for her to look back on at a later time. The baby shower them was "Hatching Soon" and the client wanted the look to match it. In order to create the look and feel that the client wanted I incorporated dinosaur silhouettes around a blue background and made the largest dinosaur appear to be hatching out of an egg. Then, to incorporate more of the green color evenly throughout the card, I added leafs which were another element that was going to be used in the decoration of the baby shower. Overall I wanted the design to be fun, playful and childlike, so I wanted to use a font that highlighted those feelings. I decided to use a font called Phosphate which played off of the other elements on the card to give it the finishing touch.
