Interior Caesarstone project Danielle Herbert

This project was about using Caesarstone materials within the design of the space in a cool, innovative and unique was.
The building had to be multi-functioning as well as have a movable facade and interior elements.
Along with the above mentioned, it had to be sustainable as well.
The building was run mainly on solar powered energy and used LED lights as well as a water storage system.
All the internal walls, floors, ceilings, countertops and finishes are Caesarstone materials.

This is a rendered perspective, showing all the floors and how the entire building looks and feels. The cafe area has a unisex bathroom as well as a paraplegic bathroom. The apartment has its own separate entrance next to the cafe.
This image shows what the building will look like when the cafe is closed and pushed inwards. the restaurant underground can be accessed from the cafe entrance but the cafe will not be serving at night, only the restaurant.
This image shows how the building will look like when the cafe is open and pulled outwards. The underground restaurant will be closed during the day as it is only a night restaurant.
This is the rendered Greenhouse area that is located on the opposite end of the main bedroom, where you can grow your own vegetables and herbs. There is an automated blind system for you to control the amount of sunlight let into the room, as well as rain. There are sliding doors to allow you to feel as if you actually are outside the building, while still being indoors.
This is a rendered perspective of the kitchen, lounge and dining area. The dining table is able to be extended to make room for more people at the table. There is a patio are that is formed when the cafe is open and the roof of the cafe becomes the top levels i.e. the apartments patio area, during the day.
This is a rendered perspective of the main bedroom and bathroom. This is all open plan and has a sliding door that allows for natural ventilation to occur. The clothing cupboard is found alongside the bed opposite the sliding doors.
This is showing the rendered floor plan layout of the bedroom, lounge and where the access points are. The stairs to the bedroom are able to be push back up against the wall to stop anyone from going up into the bedroom.
This is the rendered perspective of the cafe area and the underground restaurant area. Here you also see how to access the underground restaurant and how in the restaurant you will be able to watch your food get made right in front of you. there is air-conditioning provided for ventilation and prevent the restaurant from getting too hot and stuffy. There are air vents as well which will allow for the smells and hot air to escape.
