Tongue Tied Magazine is an online news source that focuses on music, fashion, poetry, and art created by young adults. Tongue Tied Magazine approached me in May 2018 about running their social media on a daily basis. For this account, my responsibilities include cultivating and scheduling posts for optimal reach and increasing account engagement. This account has been really fun because the variety in the posts (music, culture, art, and fashion) allows me to dabble in all areas of my creativity.

When I first picked up the Tongue Tied Magazine account, the previous social media manager had already begun a theme of alternating text posts and photo posts. However, the team had informed me that they wanted to have a greater emphasis on the magazine's photography rather than the literature. As such, I tweaked the original theme to an alternating pattern of one text post to every two text posts. I also created gradients with the columns in order to appeal to the eye of new readers. This social media rebrand allowed the magazine's online presence to more accurately reflect the magazine's brand.

One of the newest projects that I have launched with Tongue Tied Magazine is the Weekly Roundup Playlist. This project's goal is to increase the reach of the magazine while also sharing new music with our fans. For this project, I assist in cultivating a weekly playlist from submissions received from SubmitHub and create an Instagram Story, Twitter, and Facebook post on the playlist per week. For the post, I utilize the new Spotify playlist Instagram story feature to directly link the playlist to the post. In addition, I include a quick "featuring" section that allows the artists included in the playlist to share to their own stories and thus reach a greater audience. This project has personally been really fun because not only has it  allowed the account to reach a larger audience, but I also love discovering and sharing new music with the world!
