Introducing Curv a domestic lighting solution that addresses the problem of indoor air quality in an unconventional way. Most air purifying systems today, are bulky and make use of a lot of advanced electronics. We have decided to design a product that would stay elegant yet effective at the the task at hand.
Elegant & Clean
Curv makes use of nature in order to attain it's air purifying qualities. The snake plant that is situated at the base of the free standing light are the lungs of this whole process. According to a study done by NASA and a researcher named Kamal Meattle the Snake plant is one of the most effective plants to improve indoor air quality. This plant converts Co2 to Oxygen at night, it also filters formaldehyde, trichloroethylene, xylene, toluene, and benzene from the air making it the perfect choice for our product.
More than an air purifier
This light wasnt solely designed to be used as an indoor air purifying device it can also be used as a reading light thanks to its two silky smooth pivots. They are placed at the base and on the head of the product making it easy for the user to direct the light.
Solid Ash
Hand crafted and shaped out of a solid piece of American Ash. The beautiful and smooth bends were obtained using a process called kerfing, where several grooves are made side by side to allows the wood to bend to the desired shape. This process also adds a unique aesthetic to the product with the repetitive white lines running along the bends.
Beautifully mysterious
As soon as the sun goes down Curv becomes its true self, a beautiful and mysterious mood setter. The clean lines and smooth curves add to the elegant and peculiar look of the light as it shines through the darkness.
