This project was part of a job that included three stages: both dividing and merging two properties, getting a building permit for an already extended house and designing a new home in the back of the property, which was a piece of land of 110 m2. It was challenging to accomplish the project respecting the urban planning and construction laws and the size of the property.     The new house is for a family of two adults and a child, and needed to be as big as possible in only one floor. It included two rooms, one bathroom, living room, dining room and kitchen, with both its structure and its inner and outer design consisting of wood.     The result was a house with two big areas: a big space for “public” use with a double height ceiling, including kitchen, living room and dining room; and “private” area that contained the sleeping quarters and bathrooms, with a regular height ceiling. The house ended up at 71, 85 m2, which has already been built.
