As part of my A-Level coursework I was challenged to replicate some of my primary photos. This project thread shows my replication of a Ford GT currently racing in the World Endurance Championship from initial picture to finished replication. The replication was created entirely through digital media using Adobe programs.
Using both Adobes Illustrator and Photoshop I was able to develop my knowledge of each programme to develop a photorealistic graphic. Firstly I opened the photograph in Photoshop with the Camera RAW filter to both convert the file from Nikon .NEF to a more generic file and also adjust the colour/light settings. After using the Camera RAW filter I converted the image across to .ai for Illustrator. In Illustrator I was able to combine a mixture of unique filters before moving the image back to Photoshop. This time I used Photoshop to enhance and tidy the filters from Illustrator. I also used other tools to trim, enhance and highlight aspects in the image like dodge, burn and blur. Once all this was finished I used the Photoshop filters once again to give a more artistic or traditional impression of the image.
