''Matter'' was the subject of the magazine ''Items''. ''Items'' is the Dutch magazine for designers. In collaboration with graphic designer Dennis Koot we started to think about how we could capture the whole meaning of the word ''Matter'' in one image.
''Matter'' is the building block from which the (observable) world is built. In photography we use light to make the world perceptible. White light is composed of red, green and blue. By mixing these colors you can create new colors like yellow, cyan and magenta. By blocking these colors you can create shadows, which are colour-full or black. With this knowledge we started experimenting in the studio which resulted in an image that gives you food, or in other words ''Matter'', for thought.
