NORDIC PAVILION CGI (WIP)

NORDIC PAVILION CGI (WIP)
Nordic Pavilion is one of my favourite modernistic buildings because of it's nice and simple form, perfect proportions and it's respect to nature. The project is designed by Sverre Fehn in 1962 and it's built in Venice, Italy.

I decided to recreate this iconic building into 3D to practice my arch-viz skills. Since the building is made almost entirely of concrete and there are a lot of interesting surfaces affected by weather and time, I will try to simulate these imperfections by adjusting materials in Corona renderer. Also, there are a plenty of nice views in this project so I will try to catch them on my renders.

This project is created as Work in Progress, so I will continuously add new images as I will continue with progress. Stay tuned!

As usual, I started with modeling the base - walls and floor
Adding a specific detail of this building - the roof is made of this nice two-layered grid
Next move was modeling windows and a pair of doors
On the side of the building will be this staircase. I modeled it by dividng the Box and extruding the upper polygon. The surface is made by Floor generator.
First Clay Render
Detail in the corner of the building with applied concrete shader
Upper row of the roof grid. I added textile pieces between them on which I applied semi-translucent shader with dirt on it.

I processed with creating a surrounfing. This is part of building staying next to Nordic Pavilion. The greenery will be visible on final renders.
