Agustina Silva's profile

Plancton collection

Plancton was my final collection at University. It is inspired by the petroleum contamination in the sea and a sustainable process called Bioremediation used to clean oil disasters through plants.
The garments were made of cotton materials to continue with its sustainable process. Each one was either hand-knitted or machine-knitted.
The most used tecnique of this collection is ice-dying. Every piece was dyed by hand which makes all of them unique.
Another tecnique used is screen-printing with black plastisol ink to simulate the oil contamination.
