Happy 50th Wedding Anniversary!
This couple first met under the CLEARYS' clock in O'Connell Street 50 years ago, and their children commissioned a portrait of the clock as a gift.
The 'M' under the blue wings indicates the bride's initial and the blue wings are a nod to Marc Chagall's "Clock with Blue Wing" (1949) which was created partly in memory of his wife - see below.
and the 'J' is for the groom's name.
The surname is Fennell, the bride is from Cork and they married in 1968.
