I first worked on the Pod MX knee brace while working at Invetech in 2000 - 2005. I was heavily involved with the development of the hinge which became the core technology of the Pod MX range of sporting knee braces and gives the braces is natural fluid motion. The hinge is built around a reinforced TPU tendon which can follow the motion of a knee but provide a solid locking action when required to prevent hyper extension and compression.
