Presenting the Gift[O]Mizer, a festive new app that takes the suffocating dread out of gift-giving! This iPhone app was sent with our gift to clients this Holiday season. Perfect for office or white elephant exchanges!
Role: Concept, art direction, UX and graphic design. Project lead – worked with an iOS developer, writer and got the cooperation of the office to find and input gift ideas. Went from concept to app store submission in 7 work days.
This project required an extensive UX and project management role. I organized card sorting exercises to identify the common threads that could be used to categorize the gifts. User testing was done to refine the sorting methods and animations on the phone. We had initially started with an easier to implement concept but found users were struggling with it. Adding more items and changing to a more open sorting system helped alleviate these concerns.
